Positions at YDC
Our behavioral health services are provided on-and-off-site in Newark and Essex County, NJ. We offer supervision and diverse opportunities to broaden your experience and knowledge base while working with other mental health professionals in community-based settings. We also have paid internships available for doctoral-level psychologists. Please note that we do not currently have openings in positions so indicated. part-time clinician (no current positions)
Provide therapy to DCPP and Medicaid clients in our outpatient clinic in Newark. Masters-level preferred. Doctoral-level students encouraged to apply.
DePart-Time Bilingual Clinician (Spanish/English, Creole/English, Portuguese/English)
Provide on-site intake and assessment in English and/or Spanish, Creole, Portuguese and ongoing treatment of children and youth and their parents and/or guardians in bilingual sessions. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, that you are a student working under the supervision of a licensed professional in the same field, or that you have an active license in the field.
Psychological tester (no current positions)
Seeking a pre-or-post-doc psychology student to complete psychological evaluations for DCPP-referred clients in order to make recommendations regarding parenting competency, abuse potential, placement, services and treatment recommendations related to abuse/neglect. The individual should have training and experience in psychological and psycho-legal assessment procedures and instruments. A background in forensic psychology is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus. The evaluations are conducted under the supervision of licensed psychologists with training in forensic assessment.
off-site clinician (no current positions)
Provide counseling with children, interventions, consultation with teachers, professional development trainings and workshops in school and social service organizations. Master’s level preferred, supervision is conducted by a psychologist.
