Positions at YDC

Our behavioral health services are provided on-and-off-site in Newark and Essex County, NJ. We offer supervision and diverse opportunities to broaden your experience and knowledge base while working with other mental health professionals in community-based settings. We also have paid internships available for doctoral-level psychologists. Please note that we may or may not currently have openings in positions listed below but will contact you as positions become available.

part-time clinician

Provide therapy to DCPP and Medicaid clients in our outpatient clinic in Newark. Masters-level, LAC, LSW, LMFT, doctoral-level students or post-doc psychologists encouraged to apply. Supervision is provided.
 

Part-Time Bilingual Clinician (Spanish/English, Portuguese/English, Creole/English)

Provide therapy to Spanish, Portuguese and Creole-speaking clients as part of providing ongoing treatment of children and youth and their parents and/or guardians in bilingual sessions. Qualifications are the same as above.
 

Psychological testing

Seeking a pre- or post- doctoral psychology student to complete forensic/psychological evaluations for DCPP-referred clients in order to make recommendations regarding parenting competency, abuse potential, placement, services and treatment recommendations related to abuse/neglect. The individual should have training and experience in psychological and forensic assessment procedures and instruments. A background in forensic psychology is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus. The evaluations are conducted under the supervision of licensed psychologists with expertise in forensic assessment.
 

off-site clinician

Provide counseling with children, interventions, consultation with teachers, in school-based settings. Provide professional development trainings and workshops in school and social service organizations. Master’s level preferred, supervision is conducted by a psychologist.
